概述
This discovery introduces students to the history of Europe from the medieval period to the present day. Specific courses explore themes such as the reconfiguration of Europe following the decline of the Roman Empire, the violence and upheaval of the Protestant Reformations, the chief economic, political and social developments in European society since the end of the eighteenth century, and the history of war, decolonialism, and globalization that brings us to the present day. This discovery also introduces students to the historic discipline, teaching them to analyze primary sources, draw causal connections from evidence, and critically engage with contemporary scholarship.
Requirements
Completion of at least 9 credit hours in HIST under the category of European 历史 (as categorized in the COSB), including at least 6 credit hours from “Upper Division--European 历史”.
