Trinity's Team Places Third at Business Analytics Competition
Michael Neidorff School of Business students excel

Trinity University’s Michael Neidorff School of Business does it again! Congratulations are in order to Caterina Mora-Adrover, Adriana Lopez-Boor, Adam Cordiro, and Ngoc Nguyen for taking third place at the Business Analytics Competition and Conference at Manhattan College.

This year’s competition had the most teams (24 teams) since the competition was launched in 2015. Competing against schools like St. Mary’s University and California State University, the Trinity team excelled. Caterina Mora-Adrover shared, “Our journey in this competition has been an extraordinary experience, filled with growth and relentless determination…Together, we conquered challenges, pushed our boundaries, and achieved remarkable results.”

The competition format happens in two phases which require student teams to analyze and glean business insight from a competition-specific dataset. “As a result of the competition, students can experience the practical application of the knowledge they’ve been studying in class, which reflects Trinity’s commitment to hands-on learning. The competition not only enhanced students’ analytical and problem-solving skills but also inspired them to excel in data science,” says Tianxi Dong, Ph.D., faculty advisor for the competition and associate professor of business analytics and technology for Neidorff School of Business.
